Rob Hill is the owner of Prysm Jewelry & Piercing. Originally from Calgary in Alberta, Canada, Rob has made West Des Moines, Iowa his home. In addition to piercing throughout North America since 2000, Rob has been a member of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP) since 2012, as well as an instructor at the annual APP Conference. He has been a member of the H2Ocean ProTeam since 2009 and has won over 50 body piercing awards. As well as holding the studio to the highest standards for piercing safety and jewelry quality, Rob manufactures custom jewelry specializing in precious gemstones, gold, and platinum.
Rob enjoys fine dining, cooking, cars, macro photography, and long-range marksmanship. His favorite piercings are custom ear projects, curating design combinations unique to each client. |
Jacob Spjut hails from California and has lived all over the U.S. He now makes Des Moines, Iowa his home with his wife and daughter. Jacob has been a professional piercer since 2006 and has been an APP member since 2013. He actively volunteers each year at the APP Conference and is an editor and writer for the piercing industry’s only trade magazine, The Point. Jacob has a passion for educating others about ethics in body piercing and the role the piercer plays. Jacob enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid reader. He gets the most joy from piercing children’s earlobes and seeing their faces light up from the experience and their new look. |
Nate St. Pierre is an Iowa native currently living in Colfax with his young son and daughter. Nate has been piercing since 2012 and has been an APP member since 2018. His greatest joy is connecting with each client to help them express their individuality through body piercing. As a great dad, Nate connects well with younger clients to help make their first piercing experience positive and memorable. Nate and his kids enjoy disc golf, traveling, reading, water fights, and board games. He is also a collector of many things, including shoes and Funko Pop! figurines. His favorite piercing to perform is the conch. |
